Vendors can pay for placement. They can't buy a score.

Every Index Score comes from the same place: one identical script, rendered on each platform, graded blind on the things buyers actually compare. Some vendors pay for featured placement; we label them PARTNER, and it never moves their number. We publish every render so you can check our work.

Realism & lip-sync

Blind panel scoring of facial motion, lip-sync accuracy and how far each avatar sits from the uncanny valley.

Languages & voices

How many languages and accents it covers, and whether the voice and lip-sync hold up outside English.

Avatars & customization

Stock library size, custom avatar quality, voice cloning and how usable real-time avatars actually are.

Price & transparency

Real pricing and limits, paid placements labelled, renders published, scores never for sale.

The render process

We write one neutral 60-second script and render it through every platform using comparable settings — the same avatar style where possible, uniform lighting, no post-processing. The raw output is published on our video reviews page so you can watch exactly what we scored.

Blind scoring

Renders are scored by our panel without knowing which tool produced them, to remove brand bias. Realism and lip-sync are judged frame by frame; languages are tested by re-rendering the script in several non-English languages.

What money can and can't do
